This project was completed while employed by Wells Printing. My role focused on webstore design, Shopify implementation, product setup, access-control configuration, reporting workflow setup, integration support, testing, deployment, and launch support. Wells Printing handled product sourcing, production/decoration, warehousing, fulfillment, and shipping operations.

Overview

A private commerce system for internal branded product distribution.

RPD Progear was planned as a closed Shopify company store for Rheem Parts Division, supporting internal purchasing and distribution of branded products across hardlines, promotional apparel, and literature.

The store needed to support both stocked inventory and print/produce-on-demand items, with operational requirements around reporting, approved-user access, order limits, payment processing, and shipping workflows.

The Need

More than a storefront.

The project required a commerce experience that could function as an operational tool, not just a product catalog. The store needed controlled access, structured product setup, inventory considerations, fulfillment coordination, reporting outputs, and practical administrative workflows.

Key requirements included approved-user access, product categories for multiple item types, order-limit logic, reporting workflows, payment setup, and shipping through the client’s preferred carrier process.

My Role

Design, build, configure, test, and support the webstore system.

01

Storefront Design

Applied brand direction to the Shopify storefront structure, layout, product presentation, and customer-facing experience.

02

Shopify Implementation

Built and configured the store environment, including product setup, collections, access workflows, and admin-facing structure.

03

Operational Setup

Supported reporting, access control, order-limit logic, shipping configuration, inventory workflows, and launch testing.

Systems + Workflows

The build connected commerce, fulfillment, reporting, and access control.

  • Closed / invite-only Shopify company store structure
  • Product setup for hardlines, promotional apparel, and literature
  • Support for stocked inventory and print/produce-on-demand items
  • Approved-user access and restricted storefront workflows
  • Reporting workflows for sales, usage, and inventory visibility
  • Order-limit and quantity-rule planning
  • Shipping workflow support tied to client fulfillment requirements
  • Testing, QA, review, and launch support

Project Boundaries

Clear ownership keeps the case study honest.

I led the web project work: design implementation, Shopify setup, technical configuration, testing, and launch support. Wells Printing supported the broader production operation, including product sourcing, decoration or production when needed, warehousing, fulfillment, and shipping.

This case study intentionally excludes internal pricing, account details, client contacts, raw proposal documents, private admin screens, and fulfillment-sensitive information.

Outcome

A commerce system built around real-world execution.

The result was a Shopify-based company store framework built to support controlled access, branded product distribution, fulfillment coordination, and ongoing operational reporting.

For my portfolio, this project represents the kind of work I’m best suited for: translating brand, commerce, production, and operational requirements into a working system that can be launched, managed, and supported after handoff.
